Pakistan Muslim League - N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said that the workers would hold rallies wherever they see blockades.
Meanwhile, Punjab IG Police Imam Ghani has directed the authorities concerned not to prevent the jalsa. He has also ordered removal of barriers on the roads leading to the jalsa venue.
Former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s son Kasim Gilani, who is the chief coordinator of the jalsa, was arrested on Saturday night. In a video posted on Twitter, police officials could be seen manhandling him while taking him into custody. Several other workers of the PDM were separately arrested.
PPP leader Ali Haider Gilani wrote on Twitter that the rally will take place come what may.
