Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has lauded Pakistani scientists who produced the 'Made in Pakistan' ventilators, announcing that the first tranche would be provided to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) by Thursday.
Addressing the National Assembly session on Tuesday, he also spoke about the safety gear kits which he said will be initially imported until February 26. The minister boasted that Pakistan was making safety gear and making exports worth $100 million.”
He added that the locally-made ventilators cost one-third of their imported ones and the locally-made kits are also cheaper.
