Students from various universities protested against physical exams outside Punjab Assembly in Lahore as five student leaders who were arrested by police on Thursday remain in custody.
To protest the arrest of more than 40 students for demanding online exams, the students gathered at Charing Cross on Mall Road. These students protestors called for the release of all the students detained and kept in police custody. They also demanded that the police officers who were responsible for torturing students be held accountable.
Activist Ammar Ali Jan said every step from baton-charge to arrest of the students was used by the fascist government to stop them from raising their voice, but the students showed bravery and did not surrender.
