Bilquis Edhi, the humanitarian and philanthropist who has helped hundreds of people from the marginalised communities, has been declared ‘Person of the Decade’ by an international organisation, Impact Hallmarks (IH).
She shares the title with UN rapporteur on human rights Prof Yanghee Lee and the US ethicist Stephen Soldz.
A spokesman for the Edhi Foundation told the APP that Bilquis Edhi was declared the most impactful individual of the first two decades according to the domino effect verdict, announced on Friday by the Impact Hallmarks[IH].
Bilquis Bano Edhi is a trained nurse and heads the edhi foundation. She’s been working for the betterment of the poor and needy for the past six decades and her charities have helped more than 42000 orphaned babies.
