Monkeys Run Away After Snatching Coronavirus Patients' Blood Samples
A troop of monkeys attacked a medical officer in Uttar Pradesh, India, and snatched the blood samples of people who had tested positive for the coronavirus.

A laboratory technician was reported to be walking with the samples in the government medical college of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

According to media reports, the monkeys attacked and took the blood samples of four patients who are currently being treated for the virus. “We had to take their samples again,” said Dr. S. K. Garg, a top official at the college.

The students and medical health workers are still not sure if the blood was spilled in the process of snatching because they have expressed concern regarding the contagion of coronavirus.

The doctor told Reuters that there was no proof or any reports of monkeys being infected with the virus, so their vulnerability can yet not be decided.

The coronavirus, however, originated in the exotic animal market in the Wuhan city of China in November 2019.

The invasion of humans and civilisation in the natural habitat of animals has often caused the monkeys to resort to take over places in which human population exists.

India has been badly affected with the coronavirus crisis as of late the number of people who have lost their lives has reached up to 4,700 and the number of infected people are 165,700.
