Ijaz ul-Haq, son of General Zia ul-Haq has made startling revelations in an interview with Turkey's Anadolu Agency whereby he claims that General Zia's death wasn't an accident but a conspiracy against him and blames General Mirza Aslam Beg, the-then Director General of Pakistan's top intelligence agency for the murder and the cover-up. He also accused Major General (r) Mahmud Durrani of being a part of the conspiracy. Most importantly, he reveals that the United States covered the murder up by forcing into silence Haq's lawyer and the wife of the US ambassador who had also died along with Zia in the plane crash.
