Pakistan Peoples Party Punjab has organized a conference titled ‘Social-Electronic-Print Media Conference 2020 to develop media strategy on Sunday.
The conference was initiative of the party's provincial information secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza. Three sessions on role of print, electronic and digital media were conducted respectively. The sessions provided an opportunity to develop a future media strategy to reclaim party’s vote bank in Punjab.
Senior journalists and party leadership including Chaudhry Manzoor, Nafisa Shah, Wajahat Masood, Khalid Faroqqi, Imdad Somroo, and several other intellectuals & media persons attended the conference. On this occasion, Wajahat Masood said, Bilawal is a leader of the youth, the party needs to convey its message to the masses. He suggested reaching to those people who feel betrayed by the present rulers. He added, conflict is between democratic and undemocratic forces.
Chaudhary Manzoor had recalled the history of party’s policy and media strategy. “In this contemporary era, media is too fast, now we have only few minutes to convey our message. Now media outlets have become propaganda tools,” the PPP leader said.
Nafisa Shah, while giving a keynote address, severely criticised the selected government's ‘shameful’ record on tackling the country’s real issue, she termed the incumbent government ‘TikTok’ government and Imran Khan ‘King of Trolls’.
The conference was ended with a cultural event that featured Mr. Nadeem Abbas’s soulful performance.
