India Is A Global Terrorist: Veena Malik on Sri Lanka Blasts Mastermind’s Links
After reports emerged that Sri Lanka blasts mastermind Zahran Hashim spent ‘substantial time in India’, many have reacted including Pakistani actor Veena Malik who called India ‘a global terrorist’.

Zahran Hashim, who blew himself up at the Shangri-La hotel in Colombo on April 21, was said to have spent a ‘substantial amount of time’ in time India before carrying out the deadly attack. ‘Confirmed’ reports claimed that Hashim was trained in India.

Responding to the above, Veena Malik said that ‘India is a global terrorist’. Journalist Kamran Khan also said ‘India is a sponsor of global terrorism’, adding that had the attacker had links with Pakistan, India media would talk 24/7 but now remains silent.

Hashim’s sister said that she was ‘happy’ her brother was dead because he learned religion from the wrong people. She said she and her brother had stopped talking after he went ‘extreme’.

“We (Madhaniya and Zahran) stopped talking in 2017 after he started spitting venom in his speeches. He had been a fiery orator on Islam and a crowd puller at streetcorner meetings from his teenage days. But I couldn’t take it any longer after he started to preach against the government, the national flag, against elections, and against other religions,” she told the Sunday Express.

The death toll in Sri Lanka Easter Sunday blasts is said to be 253, while the number of wounded has gone up to more than 500.

Sunday’s attack saw 3 luxury hotels and 3 churches attacked by 7 suicide bombers, government sources said. Thus far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack but according to the New York Times, the government has set its focus on militant group National Thowheeth Jama’ath.
