Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s wife has said that the judge has received death threats from an unknown individual.
Sarina Isa lodged a first information report (FIR) in Islamabad’s Secretariat Police Station, stating that the threats were issued via a video. She further informed the police that the person who hurled death threats at Justice Isa said that whoever is caught in embezzlement, whether it be Faez Isa or anyone else, should be executed through a firing squad.
Further, the person says that those who engage in such activities must be hanged and the entire city should be invited to watch their execution.
The development comes just four days after the Supreme Court quashed the presidential reference against Justice Isa and ordered an end to the proceedings against him in the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC). The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was asked by the top court to hold inquiry into the properties of Justice Isa's wife and children and submit the report to the SJC within 75 days.
