Actor Mahira Khan voiced her support for Junaid Hafeez, a Multan university teacher who was sentenced to death over trumped up charges of blasphemy, after more than six years of incarceration.
The actor, in her tweet, hoped that there will be equality for all and that one-day innocent citizens of the country will not be punished like this.

Junaid Hafeez was sentenced to death by a local court in Multan on the 21st of December. He was accused by the Islami Jamiat-i-Talba (IJT) for posting blasphemous content on social media. He had been in solitary confinement in jail for six years.
