Supreme Court has taken notice of ‘objectionable content’ on widely used social media application YouTube, suggesting the relevant authorities to ‘block’ it.
While hearing a case pertaining to hate speech, Justice Qazi Amin said that the families of judges are not even spared on social media and YouTube channels. “Has PTA and FIA looked into what is happening on these platforms? The judges are bashed all the time.”
The SC judge said that people are invoked against Pakistan Army, judiciary, and the government on social media in general and YouTube channels in specific. Reportedly, the top court has also suggested PTA to block YouTube.
