State Minister for Health Dr Zafar Mirza has falsely claimed that the fatal coronavirus curve starts flattening on its own after five months in every virus-stricken country.
The PM’s aide during an interview to journalist Owais Tohid’s show on state-run channel PTV, said that the federal government’s health team – after studying the facts and news reports of more than 100 countries – has analysed that the curve of coronavirus starts flattening after five months in every country which is fighting against the pandemic.

On the basis of the said claim, he predicted that in the end of July or the start of August, the coronavirus cases graph will start falling in Pakistan.
However, the data analysts and medical scientists are of the opinion that the coronavirus curve only starts flattening after imposition of strict lockdown and mass-testing to combat the spread of the deadly virus. Otherwise, the curve will not flatten on its own.
