Female Doctor, 26, Dies Of Coronavirus In Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI: 26-year-old Dr Rabia Tayyab died on Saturday after battling with Coronavirus for 12 days.
According to the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Shahzad, Tayyab had first complained about mild flu and cough on April 20 and the doctors had declared it a ‘normal fever’.
Four days later, Tayyab’s condition worsened and she was brought to Holy Family Hospital where she was put on a ventilator on April 30. On May 2, she lost her battle with the deadly virus.
Rabia Tayyab was from Gujjar Khan and had graduated from Quaid-e-Azam Media College in Bahawalpur. According to Dawn, she was due to start her house job on May 1.
Doctors have been at the forefront in this war against COVID-19 and so far 444 medical workers, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics, have been tested positive for Coronavirus.
