ASWJ Threatens To Hold Countrywide Rallies On Youm-e-Ali If Shia Processions Are Allowed
A member of banned sectarian outfit Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamat (ASWJ) Toofan Khokhar has warned that if Shia community takes out processions to mark Youm-e-Ali on 21st Ramzan, the ASWJ will also proceed to organise rallies throughout Pakistan on the same day regardless of coronavirus restrictions in the country.

He called on the cadets from all chapters of the sectarian terror organisation to be prepared to take part in the processions in the honour of Hazrat Ali (R.A) that take place annually. He added that the government is fooling the people in the name of lockdowns. "Coronavirus is not real, it's a scam that is being played out to stop the spread of Islam", he said in a video released on ASWJ's social media pages.

The federal government had on Wednesday issued standard operating procedures (SOPs) to the provinces for the last 10 days of Ramzan and it also imposes a ban on processions on account of Youm-e-Ali which is observed on 21st of the holy month to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS).
