The federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) governments have decided to place all Tableeghi Jamaat members in quarantine in the mosques where they operate. The step has been taken to contain the spread of coronavirus.
The Express Tribune reported that the quarantined Tableeghi Jamaat members will be sent to their homes after their quarantine period ends, and a comprehensive policy has been formed in this regard.

The newspaper quoted a senior government official, who attended the meeting which took the decision, as saying that there would be collaboration among all governments to ensure that the plan works out successfully. The source further said that tests samples of the mosques where the said individuals will live will also be taken, adding that provision of ration to them will be the administration's responsibility.

KP government has found out that about 4,000 people from other provinces are in KP for the missionary movements.
Meanwhile, Adviser to Chief Minister on Information Ajmal Wazir said that the safety and return of the members of Tableeghi Jamaat was the government's priority, adding that the move is aimed at stopping the unrestricted movement of people in cars and trucks.
