Ahmadi Worship Place Destroyed By Authorities In Bahawalpur

An Ahmadi worship place in the Hasilpur Tehsil of Bahawalpur was partially destroyed on October 25.
An operation headed by the assistant commissioner of Hasilpur, Mohammad Tayyab, led to the destruction of the Mihrab of the worship place. Assistant Commissioner Tayyab was accompanied by police officers and officials of the local development authority.
The incident was confirmed by a spokesperson of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Pakistan, Saleemuddin. The spokesperson took to Twitter to state that the assistant commissioner and local government officials destroyed parts of the 70-year-old place of worship. He further added in his tweets that those who filmed the illegal demolition were falsely charged by the police.

The said worship place is located in Chak 161 Murad, Bahawalpur, and was constructed in 1949 on land owned by the local Ahmadi community.
