A student in China bought £90 typing robot to do her homework but was caught for completing her assignment way too quickly. According to a report, a 15-year-old girl used a typing robot to complete homework that was given during Chinese New Year holidays.
The homework was completed in record time and school administration was amazed. Her mother was amazed too seeing her child complete homework in just 2 days, with perfect handwriting and no mistakes. This made the mother suspicious who did some investigation and found the machine in her daughter’s room.
The furious mother broke the copy device and scolded her daughter following the discovery, according to Qianjiang Evening News. The daughter confessed to have used all her New Year pocket money to buy the device. “This device could do your homework, but can it help you in exams?” the mother questioned.
The robot is fitted with a metal frame to hold paper and also has an arm to hold a pen. After connecting the machine to the computer with a cable, the arm can produce text with the pen running on a software. The robot can produce 40 Chinese characters per minute, according to a shop assistant.

It was said that the most amazing thing about the machine was that it could produce a handwriting that does not look machine-like at all so it is hard to catch. The machine drew mixed reactions on Weibo (Chinese equivalent of Twitter) where one user said he wished he had the device during school years.
There were also others who were against the robot and said that it was unethical and bad for students’ learning.
