'Nawaz Sharif To Get Clean Chit From Courts Before Elections'

The courts will give a clean chit to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif before the elections.

While speaking at a program on Naya Daur TV, senior analyst Muzamal Suharwardy said luck is on Nawaz Sharif’s side; that's why he is getting relief from the judiciary, and the establishment that was once against him is now in his favor.

He said that verdicts had been coming against the Sharif family for the last seven years, but now the tables have been turned. He said that the Sharif family faced imprisonment, their daughters were arrested, and their properties were seized, but now the situation is entirely different.

Suharawardy said that there is not a single hurdle in the way of Nawaz Sharif.

Suharwardy criticized the provision of extra-ordinary facilities to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in Adiala Jail. He said that Imran Khan is still a ‘blue-eyed boy’ of the judiciary.

While responding to a question, he said that the judges who provided unconstitutional relief to Imran Khan should be held accountable for their professional misconduct.

To another question, Suharwardy said that Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa hinted at hearing cases related to civilians’ trials in military courts and delays in general elections. He said that the Election Commission of Pakistan will announce November 30 as the date for elections.

The analyst said that it is expected that cases pertaining to attacks on military installations will be heard at the military court, and cases regarding attacks on Askari Tower and Radio Pakistan buildings will be heard at the anti-terrorism court.
