Balochistan's opposition parties have said that the provincial government is damaging the peaceful environment of the assembly, announcing that they would lodge an FIR against Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani.
The opposition leaders have vowed to boycott the budget session and continue their protest against the provincial government over how it treats the opposition.
The announcement was made by MNA Maulana Abdul Wasey of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F), Opposition Leader in the Balochistan Assembly Malik Sikandar Khan, parliamentary leader of the Balochistan National Party-Mengal Malik Naseer Ahmed Shahwani and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party member Nasarullah Zerey at a press conference in Quetta. They accused the government of itself creating ruckus, saying that the opposition's protest was peaceful.
Further, they said that during Friday's session, the police attempted to force protesting opposition MPAs out of the assembly building. They also accused the police of trying to break the assembly's back gate by hitting it with an armoured car.
