
Sindh police on Sunday registered a first information report (FIR) against unknown individuals for attempting to dishonour the statue of Priest King at Mohenjo Daro – a settlement of ancient Indus Valley Civilisation. A photo that went viral on social media showed three men dishonouring the statue of Priest King.
A watchman of the heritage site registered the case at Airport Police Station.
Section 295-A was included in the FIR which is about 'deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs'.
