National Assembly on Monday recited fateha for banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP) workers killed in clashes with police, but offered no prayers for policemen who embraced martyrdom during the riots.
Mufti Abdul Shakoor led the fateha for TLP workers upon being asked to do so by NA Speaker Asad Qaiser.
Social media users are criticisng the members of the lower house of the parliament for not remembering the sacrifices of the slain policemen. Four policemen were killed in clashes with TLP workers and more than 600 sustained injuries.

11 policemen were held hostage by TLP rioters. The government managed to get them released after a successful round of negotiation with the protestors. Negotiations with the proscribed group continue, and Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid will reach Lahore tonight to lead the talks.
