In a surprising statement, Pakistan Muslim League - N (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that his party has no conflict whatsoever with the establishment.
While speaking to anchor Adil Shahzeb during his show on Dawn News, Abbasi said that the PML-N was never in conflict with the establishment. "When there was no tussle [between PML-N and the establishment] to begin with, then the question of mending or not mending relations does not arise," he said in response to a question.
The PML-N leader, when asked about the recent statements by the party leadership criticising the military establishment, he proceeded to say that such remarks during jalsas is a normal occurrence.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also said that the party merely put forth its opinion on the matters, suggesting that the stance taken by PML-N leaders against establishment should not be seen as a conflict.

Earlier, PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair had said that relations between PML-N and the establishment are improving.
