RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed two high-profile terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in Nargosa area of South Waziristan district, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement on Monday.
According to the ISPR, terrorists Usman Ali and Waheed were killed and one other got injured during intense fire. The injured terrorist was apprehended.
The ISPR further said that the killed terrorists were active members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Sajna Group and were experts in making improvised-explosive devices (IEDs). They were also terrorist trainers as well as motivators and were involved in attacks on security forces.
“Terrorist Usman was also involved in the attack on security forces on October 14, 2020 in which Captain Umer Cheema, two JCOs [Junior Commissioned Officer] and three soldiers embraced shahadat (martyrdom) while four other were injured,” the ISPR added.
Earlier on Thursday last, three soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom in two separate intelligence-based operations on terrorist hideouts in North Waziristan, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
