The police are still looking for Prime Minister Imran Khan’s nephew Barrister Hassan Niazi who was involved in the attack on the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) on 11th December and has been nominated in a FIR as well.
Niazi was initially not included in the FIR against the lawyers who attacked the PIC but after a video showing his involvement went viral, he took to Twitter to issue an apology. Later, he was nominated in the FIR.
The police recently raided a residence of his friend in Raiwind to find him. According to them, they had used his mobile data to track Niazi but he had fled the scene before the police got there. Before this, the police had also raided his farmhouse and house.
PM's Assistant Firdous Ashiq Awan in a statement had said that the Niazi is not above the law and should submit to it. Minister for Information Technology Fayyaz Ul Chohan had also issued a statement that dissociated the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) from him.
