Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry confirmed Haq's death on Twitter, saying that he fought cancer 'like a tiger'.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed deep sorrow over his colleague's death. Haq's funeral prayers would be offered tomorrow in Karachi. According to sources, the PM will go to Karachi to partake in the deceased's last rites.
