The positive results of countrywide lockdown have started emerging in Pakistan. In last two days, no coronavirus case has been reported in Islamabad, according to the government officials.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat took to Twitter to inform people about a good news in times of national crisis. He said that lockdown was effectively working in the capital and out of 300 suspected patients, no positive case has been reported. “There are no new positive cases in Islamabad in last 48 hours. Door to door surveillance is working. Allah has been kind,” he added.

The DC Islamabad said that the people of the city were cooperating with the government authorities. He said that if the ‘discipline continues’ then the people would definitely win the war against pandemic.
“Our lockdowns of epicentres are working. Bara Kahu , Rimsha Coloney , Shahzad Town were sealed and disease was stopped . Taramari Chowk is sealed. We are providing food to every house there. It’s a challenge but we have to take difficult decisions to save lives,” the government official added.
Hamza Shafqaat further said that the health teams have taken this herculean task as ‘jihad’. He demanded the further support of the citizens and urged them to cooperate and ignore the 'shortcomings' of the government officials.
