Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is so popular in Pakistan that he can win elections in the country. He expressed these views while addressing the joint session of the Parliament which is being held in honour of the Turkish president who is currently on a visit to Pakistan.
This is not the first time the PM has said this about a visiting foreign dignitary. In February last year, Imran Khan had told visiting Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman that he would get more votes than him in Pakistan.
In his address to Pakistan's parliament, Erdogan spoke about the brotherly relations between the two countries. He vowed to extend diplomatic support to Pakistan over the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) matter.
The Turkish president also invited Pakistani investors to invest in Turkey.
