Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government for taking credit of works initiated or completed by the former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government.
According to a story published in Geo TV, the former premier met party leaders today at Kot Lakhpat Jail where he slammed the PTI. He said the PML-N government had made the agreements with the Nawaz league and PTI was taking credit of PML-N’s hardwork.

“The current government is relaunching our projects and is trying to take credit for it,” he said, adding that talks with Saudi Arabia, including those for the aid agreement, were completed in PML-N’s era.
He said Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman finalized the aid package with him, but since international matters take quite some time, the PTI is now presenting it as their achievement.

The former premier said if his party was still in power, the Orange Line Train project would have been complete by now, but the PTI government ‘are failing to even complete that’.
Saudi Crown Prince Muammad Bin Salman will arrive in Pakistan on February 16 for a visit aimed at boosting cooperation between the two countries and signing numerous MoUs and agreements related to diverse sectors, including investment, finance, power, renewable energy, internal security, media, culture and sports.

A delegation of Saudi businessmen will also accompany Salman. They will have progressive business interactions with the private and public sectors. Moreover, Pak-Saudi business conferences will also be held to make the most of the Saudi dignitaries’ visit.
