Karachi Police's Inspector Ghazala Parveen, who was appointed as the first woman station house officer in 2014, has alleged that she was being pressurised by some 'corrupt individuals' and the 'black sheep' in the Sindh Police to step down from her job.
In a video posted on social media, Inspector Parveen said there were some 'black sheep' in the police who in collusion with the 'corrupt elements' of the society were forcing her to resign from the police. "They told me to give in my resignation willingly, else they would malign me on social media to the extent that I will be forced to resign," said the police officer.
However, the SHO said she will not back down, adding that she has already approached her superior officers and the cybercrime wing to register a complaint against these individuals.
The police officer said this was not her fight alone as she was representing every working woman who goes out in the public to make a decent living. She requested for prayers in her fight against these people so that she can expose them.
