An official from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had reportedly called Geo-Jang group Editor in Chief Mir Shakilur Rehman’s mother to offer her a ‘deal’ facilitating her son’s release, but she rejected the offer.
Senior journalist Hamid Mir tweeted “Finally Mir Shakeel ur Rehman has been released”.
Mir Shakil ur Rehman was released from the custody of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the orders of High Court on Monday.

Shakeel ur Rehman was booked on the charges of assets beyond means by NAB. He remained in the NAB custody for more than 8 months.
