The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi has auctioned six commercial properties of Bahria Town, with three already sold, generating billions of rupees for the national exchequer.
According to a private TV report, the auction is aimed at recovering the remaining amount from a court-approved plea bargain. Bahria Town’s Robesh Market was sold for Rs 500 million to Azad Digital CEO Masoor Abbasi, who has emerged as the leading bidder for multiple Bahria Town properties.
NAB stated that the transfer process of the Robesh Market payment has begun. Meanwhile, Corporate Office One received a conditional bid of Rs 876 million, and Corporate Office Two received a conditional bid of Rs 881.5 million. Final approval for these sales is still pending court proceedings.
Three other properties were not sold after they failed to attract acceptable bids and will be re-auctioned. According to sources, conditional bids for Corporate Office One and Two have been submitted and are under consideration. The re-auction of the remaining three properties will be scheduled in due course.
