Pakistan People's Party (PPP)'s Central Executive Committee has asked the party members to resign from their positions in the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari made this announcement while addressing the media after the CEC meeting on Monday. He said that no party should act as dictator by imposing its will in any other party.
Bilawal added that the attitude adopted by the PDM leadership in serving a show cause notice to the PPP was uncalled for and that PPP members are submitting their resignations from PDM as protest.
The PPP chairman went on to say that his party thought of resignation from assembly as a last resort, an 'atom bomb' that was to be used after exhausting all other options.
