Former Balochistan governor Nawab Akbar Bugti's widow, Shahzadi Nargis, has filed a criminal case against Prime Minister Imran Khan’s nephew Advocate Hassan Niazi and four unidentified men on multiple charges including attempted murder.
The accused reportedly attacked her in a court on Thursday morning after which the FIR was registered with the Islampura Police Station.
In the FIR, she accused Hassan Niazi and his accomplices of abusing her in the presence of her lawyer and attempting to strangle her to death.
Nargis further said that she had come to the court to obtain bail in a ‘false case’ filed against her with the FIA Lahore.
She stated in the FIR that when she appeared before the additional district and sessions judge with her lawyer Mohammad Ayaz Butt to get bail, Niazi hurled abuses at her after exchange of hot words. She also said that Hassan Niazi and four men who were with him attacked them when her lawyer intervened to stop Niazi from abusing.
Hassan Niazi has rubbished the allegations, saying that CCTV footage could be checked to determine what happened.
