KP CM Gandapur’s Future In PTI Is Uncertain Following Shahzad Akbar’s Vlog: Suharwardy

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s future in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is uncertain following allegations leveled against him by an ex-adviser to deposed prime minister Imran Khan, Shahzad Akbar.

While speaking at a program on Naya Daur TV, senior analyst Muzamal Suharwardy said that Shahzad Akbar, in his recent vlog, claimed that KP Chief Minister Gandapur is an agent of the army, and he is running the provincial government with the help of the establishment. Akbar also alleged that CM Gandapur is giving jobs to retired generals.

The analyst said that it is an open secret that KP CM House is a shelter for absconders.

He said that the PTI leadership believes that CM Gandapur is cooperating with the federal government and establishment. He added that Gandapur wants to run the provincial government by staying inside the system. Suharwardy said that Gandapur’s posture shows agitation, but his policy is one of negotiation.

The analyst said that Sher Afzal Marwat was removed from the PTI when Adil Raja and Shehzad Akbar turned against him. Now both are raising allegations against Gandapur; let's see whether Gandapur will be able to survive in the party or not, he added.

Suharwardy said that a few days ago, Gandapur and Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan exchanged heated arguments, adding that it is not yet confirmed whether Aleema Khan is behind all this.

While responding to a question, the analyst said that a complaint has been filed in the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) against Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Malik Shahzad over ‘misconduct.’ He said that few people are claiming that the complaint was filed against him because he took a stand against the establishment, but there is no reality in all these assumptions.
