The wildlife department of Punjab government rescued two young lions from a house in Multan and imposed a fine of Rs 130,000 on the captors. The lions were found to be kept in a bathroom of the house.
PPP leader Sharmila Farooqui took to Twitter, expressing her indignation at the maltreatment of the animals. “Punjab wildlife department recuses [sic] 2 lions from the bathroom of a house in Multan. The owners have been fined. No wonder God has caged us all in a pandemic,” she tweeted.
