State-run channel Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) showed the map of Pakistan without the territories of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) on a children show that was aired on June 6.
In a PTV’s program, a children was showing the population division of Pakistan through a map, but the map showed didn’t present Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
In another PTV’s news promo, AJK was termed as ‘Pakistan controlled Kashmir’. Indian media outlets use this term while referring to AJK in their news stories.

People on Twitter are condemning the ‘blunder’ of PTV management and demanding the Minister for Information Senator Shibli Faraz and other authorities concerned to take strict action against the national television’s management.
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry also commented on the happening. He said: Shameful. Arshad Khan heading PTV since decades seems he forgot he is chairman n de-facto MD of PTV not Door Darshan. Expect Shibli Faraz to take all measures to teach them what Kashmir is meant to Pakistan.”
