Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leaders including Ahsan Iqbal, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Khurram Dastagir and Musadiq Malik, while speaking to the media ahead of the National Assembly session, were allegedly harassed and manhandled by protesting workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The leaders allege there was no police or security for their protection. Videos of PML-N leaders Malik and Abbasi engaging in a brawl with the PTI supported have gone viral on social media. In the video PMLN leaders can be seen charging towards the PTI supporters present at the site.
In another video, PMLN leader Ahsan Iqbal can be seen getting hit by a shoe thrown at him from the audience, presumably from a PTI supporter.

PMLN leaders after the incident called out the government saying, There is no prime minister in this country; instead there is a thug, bully and a terrorist. They want to secure a vote of confidence through bullying and terrorism’’
PTI however tells a different story. PM’s focal person on digital media Arsalan Khalid said that PMLN leaders are ones responsible for instigating the brawls and not the other way around. He also claimed that the media is “misreporting facts.”
