German Ambassador Martin Kobler has landed himself into a bit of trouble by criticizing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government for constructing poor quality yet expensive roads in comparison to a road financed by German promotional bank KfW.
Kobler shared a tweet in which he took selfie with the KfW funded road in Azakheel bala built by villagers. He says that the road, which is better quality than the ones construct by PTI also costs 60 percent less. The KfW financed road cost Rs4 million but PTI used Rs10 million to build similar road(s) but with poorer quality.

While Kobler might have thought it was a good idea to promote development projects which are easier on the economy, Pakistanis do not share similar sentiments.

But it has not at all been a total bad experience for the ambassador. He has also received support of many.

It sure was not a very diplomatic move on Kobler's part, but his meeting with Shah Mehmood Qureshi went fine. All is well that ends well?
