A first-semester Pharm-D student at the University of Lahore is in critical condition after attempting suicide on Monday morning. The student reportedly jumped from the second floor of a university building and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where she remains under close medical supervision.
Preliminary information suggests that the student was under severe academic stress and facing pressure from her family to perform well in her studies. Sources said she had spoken with her brother earlier in the morning, and everything appeared normal at the time.
