The issue of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has not only been mishandled by the establishment, but it has stuck in their throats in a very bad way. If this situation continues, an emergency may be declared in the country, and I think Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also in favor of this idea. I would like to convey to the judiciary that currently at least 150 lawyers are ready to take oaths under the PCO.
This was stated by senior journalist Mubasher Lucman on Naya Daur TV's talk show, “Khabar se Aagay.” He said that the judiciary has stood in front of the establishment, lawyers are not getting along with them, and most people in the intelligentsia are against the establishment, so this should be a matter of concern for the establishment.
He said that Imran Khan has certainly made mistakes, but the judiciary and a large section of the people still do not consider him wrong. It seems that the case of reserved seats will also come in favor of the PTI and against the establishment. However, most of the court verdicts are influenced by trolling, he added.
In the cipher case, many pieces of evidence go against Imran Khan, Azam Khan's statement, and leaked audio of Imran Khan and Azam Khan, but the whole case was dismissed based on two things. The High Court could have conducted an inquiry by the Intelligence Bureau, and the cipher could have been produced in camera, but the evidence was not presented by the prosecution. The judiciary and the establishment have come face-to-face. “If this fight continues, we will not be able to escape martial law,” he predicted.
The PML-N, PPP, ANP, and other parties are doing politics, while PTI is not doing politics; they are following a completely different agenda, and this agenda is the agenda of destabilizing the country, he said.
“If Imran Khan talks with Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari, then there are chances of not only getting him out of jail, but he can also join in power sharing,” he added.
