In a letter, PPP’s Central Election Cell Incharge Taj Haider has urged Elections Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to investigate why PTI provincial lawmakers were residing in a hotel in Karachi.
Dated March 2nd, the letter disclosed that PTI booked 30 rooms at a local hotel where 15 provincial lawmakers were staying.
The letter further read, “Likewise, MQM has booked rooms at the Regent Plaza for their MPAs. This unusual behaviour of the MPAs of PTI and MQM residing in hotels despite having accommodation in Karachi raises concerns.”
Concluding his letter, Taj Haider urged the ECP to launch an investigation and ensure that the MPA’s staying in Karachi are not bribed or under any duress that could hinder them from partaking in the Senate election.
