Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the party’s senior leader Khwaja Asif had left the PML-N WhatsApp group due to personal reasons, and he had nothing to do with it.
The former premier, while giving an interview claimed that no harsh words have ever been exchanged between him and the former foreign minister. He said leaving the PML-N Whatsapp group was Khwaja Asif’s own decision, and he had nothing to do with it. “Even if there is any coldness between us, it is our personal matter,” the PML-N leader added.
Shahid Khaqan said Prime Minister Imran Khan and all his cabinet members were tax thieves. He asked Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh ‘to have pity’ on the country’s economy and look for some other job instead of destroying it completely.
Last week, the former premier was released from jail on bail in a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) corruption reference regarding Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) case.
