PTI Distances Itself From PM’s ‘Offer’ To Make Proceedings Of Foreign Funding Case Public
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has distanced itself from Prime Minister Imran Khan’s public ‘offer’ that the party’s foreign funding trial won’t be carried out in secrecy.

In a written statement filed with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)’s Scrutiny Committee, the party refused to disclose its foreign funding publicly. The legal counsel of the party wrote in the statement “the statement of party Chairman has been wrongly construed which is not tantamount to provide documents furnished by the answering respondents (PTI) and material collected by this scrutiny committee.”

Prime minister and PTI’s chairman Imran Khan had offered to showcase the proceedings of the trial live. This had prompted the petitioner to ask for access to the documents pertaining to the party’s foreign funding case.
