Newly-elected Supreme Court Bar Association president Latif Afridi has said that President Arif Alvi should resign after the SC verdict in Justice Isa presidential reference case.
While talking to anchor Saleem Safi on his show, Afridi termed Justice Qazi Faez Isa an unbiased judge, adding that he paid the highest tax. He also rejected the allegation against the judge saying that his father was a close friend of Quaid-e-Azam Jinnah’s.
This was the first interview of Latif Afridi after his election as the president of the SC bar association. Opposition parties PPP and PML-N had supported his candidature and his victory has been hailed by progressive quarters and rights activists.
