Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPAs in the Sindh Assembly beat up the party's disgruntled members who had earlier announced that they would not vote for PTI candidates in the Senate elections. The physical brawl took place during the assembly session on Tuesday.
PTI MPAs Aslam Abro, Shehryar Shar and Karim Bakhsh Gabol, had announced their decision not to vote for their party's candidates in the Senate polls, saying that they were given tickets in exchange for money. When these members entered the assembly today, PTI MPAs attacked them. The assembly house turned into a wrestling ring as the lawmakers continued to fight. Some PPP lawmakers tried to intervene and stop the brawl.
Earlier on Monday, PTI Sindh leader Khurram Sher Zaman had claimed that the PTI's lawmakers were kidnapped and pressured by PPP into voting against PTI.
One of the disgruntled PTI members, Aslam Abro, told the media that they were not kidnapped.
