In a tragic turn of events, a man killed nine members of his own family in Multan. The victims include his wife, two children, mother-in-law, and two sisters in law.
The incident took place at around 1 AM, in Multan's Hasanabad Gate No.1 area. The suspect identified as Ajmal, a Pakistani expatriate working in Saudi Arabia, along with his father and his brother entered his in-laws' residence and opened fire at them. They suspects then set the house ablaze after locking it from the outside.
Both the accused and his father have been arrested, while the suspect's brother remains at large.
According to City Police Officer (CPO) for Multan Imran Mahmood, raids are being conducted to bring the last suspect to justice.
The suspect arrived in Multan a few days ago from Saudi Arabia, where he was employed as a tailor. Police said that Ajmal suspected his wife of cheating on him. According to the preliminary investigation, the accused gunned down five members of his family, while the others died due to the fire.
