A man imprisoned after protesting for victims of the 2014 Model Town clash, whereby several protesters of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek had been shot dead by police, is currently under treatment in hospital in chains.
According to reports in media, Muhammad Sultan, who was imprisoned for protesting for victims of the Model Town clash, is currently hospitalised for treatment of a brain tumour. Pictures on social media have showed him in the operation theatre while in handcuffs.
People have taken to social media to condemn what they say is inhumanity. Many people called into the conversation how former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had been allowed to leave, while people like Muhammad Sultan suffered as they were not powerful. One user stated that this showed the duplicity of this system which gives an easy escape to the untouchables.
