Karakoram International University Students Block Karakoram Highway To Protest Cancellation Of Scholarships

Students of Karakoram International University (KIU) have blocked the Karakoram Highway in Gilgit after being prevented from taking their exams due to the cancellation of their scholarships.

Videos doing the rounds on social media showed students in their hundreds on the Karakoram Highway. Activist Ammar Rashid stated that the students were protesting after they had been disallowed from sitting in their exams following the arbitrary cancellation of their scholarships.
