PM Imran Denies Facilitating Release Of Designer Maria B's Husband
Prime Minister Imran Khan has reacted to designer Maria B's statement that he had facilitated her husband, Tahir Saeed's release from custody. The designer had said that her husband who was arrested by the police in a raid at their house was released after the PM's intervention in the matter.

While talking to journalists at the PM house, Imran Khan said that no one contacted him [for help in getting Tahir Saeed released]. "I am not even aware of the case", he said, in response to a question.

Fashion designer Maria B's husband was arrested by the Punjab police for sending their coronavirus-positive employee to his village instead of having him placed in quarantine. Saeed was later released after getting bail from the Lahore High Court (LHC) and Maria claimed that he was released after PM Imran Khan and the military intervened in the matter.

“I want to thank the prime minister [for facilitating the release]”, she  had said. She went on to say that she wants to thank the army because, “had the army, which is in-charge right now, not stepped in, we wouldn’t have gotten relief from the police.”

A video message by the designer went viral earlier where she claimed that the police raided her home and arrested her husband who was tested positive for coronavirus.

But later it emerged that her husband was not coronavirus-positive, but it was their cook who tested positive for coronavirus and was later sent to his village via public transport, thereby endangering lives.
