Islamabad: Police have arrested several activists who were protesting against the arrest of Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) chief Manzoor Pashteen in Islamabad. Those arrested include MNAs Mohsin Dawar and Ali Wazir.
The PTM workers and supporters were gathered outside Islamabad Press Club to protest the arrest of Manzoor Pashteen when police launched a crackdown. Awami Workers Party (AWP) leaders Ammar Rashid and Ismat Shahjehan have also been taken into custody.

Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar were reportedly dragged by the police along with other arrestees while being taken into custody. Meanwhile, social media users including journalists and politicians have condemned the development and said that the arrest of two lawmakers will worsen the situation.
